These terms apply to bookings and attendance at JANE.Magazine events, including showcases, training sessions, receptions and related events. The specific details, inclusions and price of each booking are set out in the relevant event or booking information.
Payment in full is required to secure your booking unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed in writing by Jane McMillan.
Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
Where a payment plan or other payment arrangement has been agreed, all scheduled payments remain due in accordance with the agreed arrangement.
Failure to make payment when due may result in cancellation of the booking or withdrawal of participation, at the discretion of Jane McMillan.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, payments for event bookings are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend an event, you may contact Jane McMillan to discuss whether your booking can be transferred to another event, programme or service. Any such transfer is entirely at the discretion of Jane McMillan and is not guaranteed.
For designer participation, any alternative arrangements or transfer of investment will be subject to the specific terms agreed with the designer.
Jane McMillan reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the event, including changes to scheduling, speakers, activities, participating designers, venue arrangements or format, where necessary.
Every effort will be made to ensure that the event remains substantially as described at the time of booking.
For events involving designers, buyers, press, stylists, influencers, guests or members of the public, attendance by any specific individual or organisation cannot be guaranteed.
Jane McMillan makes no guarantee as to the number, identity or profile of attendees at any event, or that any particular business opportunity, media coverage, sale, introduction or other outcome will result from attendance or participation.
Where a booking includes designer participation in a JANE.Magazine showcase or showroom, the specific arrangements, inclusions and requirements for that participation will be set out in the relevant booking information or correspondence with the designer.
Designers are responsible for the security of their own garments, inventory, equipment and personal property during the event and are advised to arrange appropriate insurance.
Designers retain ownership of their designs and brand materials. No intellectual property rights in a designer's collection are transferred to Jane McMillan or JANE.Magazine by participating in an event.
Photography and filming may take place at JANE.Magazine events for promotional, editorial and marketing purposes, including use across JANE.Magazine, Fashion Entrepreneurs Academy, Jane McMillan's websites and associated social media channels.
By attending an event, attendees acknowledge that they may appear incidentally in photographs or video taken during the event.
Where specific photography or filming arrangements form part of a designer's participation package, these will be communicated separately.
Jane McMillan reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any attendee, guest or participant whose conduct is disruptive, inappropriate, unsafe or damaging to the reputation of the event, JANE.Magazine or Fashion Entrepreneurs Academy.
No refund will be issued in circumstances where entry is refused or an attendee is removed due to their conduct.
If Jane McMillan cancels an event, attendees and participants will be offered either a transfer to a rescheduled event or, where appropriate, a refund of payments made for that event.
Where a suitable alternative event or date is offered, the terms of any transfer will be communicated at the time.
Jane McMillan shall not be liable for cancellation, postponement or significant alteration of an event caused by circumstances beyond her reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, fire, government restrictions, public health emergencies, venue failure, industrial action, acts of terrorism or other circumstances that make the event impractical or unsafe to hold.
Where reasonably possible, Jane McMillan will endeavour to reschedule the event or provide an alternative arrangement.
Where an event cannot be rescheduled, any refund or alternative arrangement will be dealt with in accordance with the circumstances and any applicable legal rights.
Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings and for their own actions while attending an event.
While reasonable steps will be taken to provide a safe and professional environment, Jane McMillan accepts no responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
All content, materials and resources provided by Jane McMillan or JANE.Magazine in connection with an event remain the intellectual property of their respective owner unless otherwise stated.
They may not be reproduced, distributed, republished or commercially exploited without prior written permission.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
