A once-in-a-lifetime RADICAL shift in the fashion landscape is leading the way to create exciting possibilities for Fashion Designers to build successful brands from their OWN HOMES.
Â
Consumers now actually WANT to buy authentic products from small artisanal designers and social media is providing low cost or free ways for designers to promote their designs on a much more even playing field.
Â
This will result in a NEW AGE for designers to work in a more ethical, sustainable way around their lifestyles and many designers have already adapted to this SHIFT building successful brands from their KITCHEN TABLE or spare BEDROOM.
Â
Over the last 3 decades big fast fashion companies made it impossible for independent designers to compete with their large marketing budgets and exploitative low manufacturing costs.Â
Â
So, while these big companies were polluting the planet, overproducing and undervaluing staff ambitious designers had to give up dreams of running their own fashion busin...
Why you DON'TÂ want to be the most OUTSTANDING, conceptual fashion designer!
Â
Most fashion designers think it's becoming really great at DESIGN that leads to fame and success but that is the most DELUSIONAL idea thats actually likely to keep you broke.
Â
If you keep thinking success comes from putting 100% of your attention into being an outstanding designer you could actually just be working yourself into burn out with no sales or profit to show for your efforts.
Â
If this is you your audience probably donât even appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of your products so you are undercharging...
Â
... and now you are running out of money, wondering how to pay for your next collection and youâre tired of posting on social media every day when nothings selling!
Â
If it was true that every conceptual, innovative design sold then EVERY conceptual designer who JUST focused on design would be successful and we all know that is NOT what happens!! âŚ

If youâre a fashion designer whoâs been burning yourself out working 14 hour days, falling asleep on the sewing machine to produce your fashion collection but youâre now wondering why nothing is selling.
If youâre feeling a bit defeated, wondering why no-one is buying and losing your motivation to continue with your dream businessâŚ
⌠then I bet you are doing one or more of these three things:
1ď¸âŁYou are designing a large collection that offers too much choice so you burn out your health and finances in the process and your customers are confused by the choice so end up choosing nothing.
2ď¸âŁYou didnât edit your collection strategically in such a way that would increase sales yet reduce resources.
3ď¸âŁYou didnât consider what your audience actually want and will be willing to pay for when editing your collectionâŚâŚ. Or didnât edit at all!
If you are doing one or more of these three things then you donât want to miss my free workshop when Iâll show you the essential strategies every fashion desig...
In this video you are going to learn how to attract massive attention to your fashion brand so you can sell more designs.  Many fashion designers are always telling me they canât sell enough of their designs and donât know how to attract attention to their brandâŚ. But donât worry I'm about to show you how to fix this!
Â
Step 1 Defining The Vibe Of Your Brand.Â
In this step you will learn how to clearly define the vibe or mood of your brand so that you can attract more of the right customers! Â Most designers either donât understand or skip this step and some just choose brand colours or logos without realising there is so much more to it! Â Â
So hereâs what you need to do.  Start by defining six words that describe the vibe, mood or overall story of your brand.  This will be used to inform your designs, photography, videography, merchandising, packaging and communication. For example words that describe Gucciâs vibe would be: nostalgic; nerdy; adolescent; 60âs & 70âs; dressi...
The biggest mistake I see most fashion designers making is thinking they can build a successful fashion business without learning some contemporary business skills or a launch formula and this is the worst assumption they could make.
Â
But itâs not actually the designers fault. Traditional fashion education wrongly lead them to believe that conceptual artistic skills is all you need to be a famous fashion designer!  So its understandable thatâs what all designers think.
Â
And if it was possible then all designers who launched a business without business skills would be a raving success and we all know thatâs not the case. Â Many graduate designers who thought the didnât need any business skills are left penniless with a failing business after just a year or two.
Â
In fact if you continue to think you donât need any contemporary business skills you will just be investing in an expensive hobby with no strategy for growth and how many years can you keep doing that?Â
Â
So how can...
After consulting for many London fashion designers I noticed that lots of startup brands are not making it past their first three years. Â
Â
It occurred to me that they all had similar really big problems that no-one is talking about and if youâve been doing at least one of these it means that youâre likely dealing with something I call the Curse of the Fashion Designer:-
Â
1.
After 2 or 3 years trying to grow your fashion business youâre still only selling a handful of designs each week.Â
Â
2.
Every 3 to 6 months each new collection goes over budget so now youâve lost so much money you even wonder if you can afford to do another season.
Â
3. Â
Youâre posting on Instagram or Tik Tok every day but no-one is interested to engage with your posts. You feel itâs such a waste of time and there must be some secret people arenât telling you about.
Â
4.
For every ten items sold you receive two returns and its eating into your profits.Â

Hey, Itâs Jane đ
Â
Recently Iâve been noticing so many emerging fashion designers and fashion band startups not making it past their first three years of running a sustainable fashion business and it occurred to me that most of them have similar problems.
Â
If youâve been doing at least one of these it means that you are youâre likely dealing with something I call the Curse of the Fashion DesignerâŚtrying to sell while your brain is still in creative design mode!!
Â
1.
Youâve been working 14 hour days with no social life for 3 months or more putting your heart and soul into a 20 piece collection but only get 2 or 3 sales of only one of your designs
Â
2.
Youâve been in business for 1 to 3 years but still losing money and every 3 to 6 months your new collection goes over budget so now youâre wondering if you can even afford to do another season.
Â
3.Â
For 1 to 2 years youâve been trying different products and posting images of them on instagram at least five times a week in a...
As a fashion brand startup or emerging designer,  trying to compete with the big brands when pricing your fashion products is preventing you from making any profits and growing your business to the next level.
Â
I get itâŚ.  All your friends are telling you that Zara or River Island sell similar pieces for a fraction of what youâre charging .âŚ. But are your friends your customers? Â
Â
Trying to keep your prices similar to the big brands could just be your reptilian brain trying to keep you small and safe..... Â You might be thinking that if you keep your prices low people won't criticise, reject or judge your designs.
Â
But, they are going to judge them any way.....  and wouldn't you rather your designs were judged for being high quality & high price that allow you to grow a profitable business instead of being judged as poor quality & low price where you can't make any profit.
Â
This fear also shows up in your marketing when you hold yourself back from EFFECTIVELYÂ communicati...
Â
This is only the start of a major shift that will bring exciting opportunities for fashion designers to work independently on their passion and create a work/life balance doing what they love! Â Â
Â
Society has been set up in such a way that prevented people going after their dreams. The large retail chains dominated the market for so long and most graduates gave up their dreams of having their own fashion brand to work for these companies instead.  I was one of themâŚ.. When I left college I initially worked as an employee, working all hours, underpaid and I felt as if I was stagnating in âdesigner jailâ âŚ. Yet I did it for five years before finding the courage to be my own boss.Â
Â
Working really long hours, as an employee, in an understaffed, pressurised environment actually gave me a chronic health condition, so it has been my mission ever since to prevent young designers experiencing the same.
Â
Yes, I found the courage to take the leap of faith âŚ. But most people who ...
Â
For generations weâve been told a degree is necessary to start the fashion business of our dreams.
Â
However countless numbers of big name designers including Cristobal Balenciaga, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons became INSANELY SUCCESSFUL without a degree!
Â
Every year thousands of fashion graduates get a degree from the outdated education system and clearly most wonât be successful.
Â
So, is it REALLY worth spending 4 to 5 years getting a degree if you have nothing but debt to show for it and no understanding of how the fast changing fashion business is working NOW?
Â
No-one comes out of the womb with all the skills and knowledge you need to be successful so of course you DO NEED educationâŚ.  If you can afford the time and money to get a degree then yes do get it!!....   But if not then isnât it more important to focus your VALUABLE time & energy on gaining the SPECIFIC up-to-date skills and education about what you are most passionate aboutâŚÂ

.. And if running your own...
